GAIL Q3 Quarterly Financial Performance:
Revenue from Operations:
- GAIL (India) Ltd reported a Revenue from Operations of Rs 98,304 crores for the first three quarters of FY24, compared to Rs 1,11,443 crores in the same period of FY22-23.
- On a quarterly basis, Revenue from Operations was Rs 34,254 crores in Q3 FY24, up by 8% from Rs 31,823 crores in Q2 FY24.

Profitability:
Profit before Tax (PBT):
- For up to Q3 FY24, PBT stood at Rs 8,713 crores, marking a 45% increase from Rs 5,993 crores in the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Quarterly, PBT increased by 18% to Rs 3,694 crores in Q3 FY24 compared to Rs 3,130 crores in the previous quarter.
Profit after Tax (PAT):
- PAT jumped by 42% to Rs 6,660 crores in the first three quarters of FY24, compared to Rs 4,698 crores in the same period of the previous year.
- On a quarterly basis, PAT increased by 18% to Rs 2,843 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 2,405 crore in the previous quarter.
Business Operations:
Physical Performance:
- Across all major business verticals, physical performance improved during the quarter.
- The Petrochemical Segment turned profitable due to plant efficiency, better capacity utilisation, and optimization measures.
Capex:
- GAIL incurred a Capex of Rs. 6,583 crore from April’23 to December’23, primarily on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc.
Gas Transmission and Marketing:
- Average Natural Gas Transmission volume was 121.54 MMSCMD in Q3 FY24, slightly higher than 120.31 MMSCMD in Q2 FY24.
- Gas marketing volume increased to 98.14 MMSCMD in Q3 FY24 from 96.96 MMSCMD in the previous quarter.
Sales:
- LHC sales stood at 249 TMT in Q3 FY24, compared to 242 TMT in the previous quarter.
- Polymer sales surged by 28% to 215 TMT in Q3 FY24 from 168 TMT in the previous quarter.
Consolidated Performance:
Revenue from Operations:
- On a consolidated basis, Revenue from Operations was Rs 1,00,666 crore for up to Q3 FY24, compared to Rs 1,12,611 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Quarterly, consolidated Revenue from Operations increased by 5% to Rs 34,768 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 33,050 crore in Q2 FY24.
Profitability:
- Consolidated PBT for up to Q3 FY24 was Rs 9,496 crore, up by 45% from Rs 6,567 crore for up to Q3 FY23.
- PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) surged by 49% to Rs 7,431 crore for up to Q3 FY24 from Rs 4,982 crore for up to Q3 FY23.
Dividend Declaration:
The company declared an interim dividend of 55% for FY 2023-24, amounting to Rs 5.50 per equity share.
