TVS Motor Quarterly Performance FY2024:

1. Operating Revenue:

TVS Motor Company’s operating revenue surged by 26% to Rs. 8,245 Crores in the quarter ending December 2023, compared to Rs. 6,545 Crores in the same period of 2022.

2. Operating EBITDA:

  • Operating EBITDA witnessed a robust growth of 40%, reaching Rs. 924 Crores in the third quarter of 2023-24, up from Rs. 659 Crores in the third quarter of 2022-23.
  • The Operating EBITDA margin for the quarter achieved a significant increase, reaching 11.2%, surpassing the 10.1% reported in the third quarter of 2022-23.

3. Profitability:

  • Profit Before Tax (PBT) saw a remarkable growth of 63%, reaching Rs. 775 Crores in the third quarter of 2023-24, compared to Rs. 475 Crores in the third quarter of 2022-23.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT) exhibited a substantial increase of 68%, reaching Rs. 593 Crores in the third quarter of 2023-24, compared to Rs. 353 Crores in the third quarter of 2022-23.

4. Sales Volume:

  • Total two-wheeler sales in the current quarter reached 10.63 Lakh units, showing a growth from 8.36 Lakh units in the quarter ended December 2022.
  • Two-wheeler exports amounted to 2.16 Lakh units, surpassing the 2.07 Lakh units reported in December 2022.
  • Total three-wheeler sales were 0.38 Lakh units in the quarter ended December 2023, compared to 0.43 Lakh units in the same quarter of 2022.
  • Electric vehicles recorded sales of 0.48 Lakh units in the quarter ended December 2023, an increase from 0.29 Lakh units in the quarter ended December 2022.

Nine-Month Cumulative Results:

1. Operating Revenue:

The operating revenue for the nine months ended December 2023 reported as Rs. 23,608 Crores, up from Rs. 19,773 Crores in the corresponding period of 2022.

2. Profitability:

  • PBT for the nine months grew by 45% to Rs. 2,109 Crores, surpassing the PBT of FY 2022-23 at Rs. 2,003 Crores.
  • PAT for the nine months increased by 48% to Rs. 1,598 Crores, compared to Rs. 1,081 Crores in the same period of 2022.

3. Sales Volume:

  • Two-wheeler sales, including exports, registered a 13% growth, reaching 30.13 Lakh units in the nine months ended December 2023, up from 26.74 Lakh units in the corresponding period of 2022.
  • Motorcycle sales grew by 10%, totaling 14.79 Lakh units, while scooter sales saw an 18% growth, reaching 11.74 Lakh units.
  • Two-wheeler exports amounted to 6.52 Lakh units.
  • Total three-wheeler sales were at 1.16 Lakh units, and electric vehicles recorded sales of 1.44 Lakh units for the nine months ended December 2023.
