Patanjali was found to have persistently breached an August 2023 order restraining the sale of their camphor product.
Mangalam Organics Ltd filed a plea, stating Patanjali continued to sell the camphor product despite the court order.
Patanjali's representative claimed the sale was "inadvertent and unintentional," but Justice Chagla noted they admitted to selling ₹49.57 lakh worth of the product post-injunction.
The persistent breach led to the Bombay High Court's decision to impose a ₹50 lakh deposit requirement on Patanjali Ayurved.
